The BluePrint Mounts range is made exclusively for MTC Optics. These double- and triple-screw ring mounts are available in Low, Medium, and High format, with 25 or 30 mm rings and rust-proofed mounting screws. Finished in black, some models are also available in brushed silver.

Clamp Types

• 9.5 – 11.5mm (3/8″) dovetails

This clamp type is commonly used on rimfire and airguns, and generally listed as “11mm (3/8″) dovetail”. MTC’s BluePrint Mounts use double-screw fixings because this eradicates scope movement under recoil (known as ‘creep’). Scope creep is a problem with inferior, cheaper mounts on recoiling rifles, especially airguns.

• Picatinny / Weaver fit (20/22mm)

The wider Picatinny clamp is common on centrefire rifles. However, more and more rimfire and air rifles are designed with Picatinny mounting rails.

MTC Adjustable Mounts

MTC Optics offers various types of ‘adjustable’ mounts. These are specialist mounts that can often overcome otherwise incompatible scope/rifle combinations. All BluePrint Adjustable Mounts are precision-engineered from high-grade aluminium.

Tilt adjustability

Our Adjustable BluePrint Mounts can be tilted. This allows the scope to be better aligned to the bore of the rifle, without stressing the body tube. It is particularly ideal for long-range shooting, because it ensures the scope will not run out of elevation adjustment. It is better than simply packing out the rear scope mount (which stresses the tube and will damage the scope).

BluePrint Adjustable Mounts (Standard)

These mounts offer tilt and height adjustment which can be useful for scopes with large objectives and long-range shooting set-ups. They are precision-made from black-anodised, high specification aircraft-quality alloy. As well as the height and tilt adjustment, many models feature triple-clamp rings.

BluePrint Reach-Forward Adjustable Mounts

The Adjustable Reach-Forward Mount is MTC’s latest BluePrint scope ring mount. Currently, it is the only adjustable ‘reach-forward’ model on the market.  Reach-forward mounts are useful for awkward scope/receiver combinations. They are normally used when a long scope is fitted to a rifle with a short receiver. Also, they can be reversed to extend the scope towards the shooter. This is often required with scopes that have a short eye-relief.
